Hello everyone, i hope this email finds you well. I just wanted to take some time out and and blog about how much i appreciate the many things and jobs MOM's have. I recently attended a get together with some old friends of my for brunch this past Saturday . In the middle of this mini-celebration i was asked, "So, what are you doing knowadays?" Most of my friends have graduated from graduate school--so, they are Lawyers, C.P.A.'s, and one assistant principle--to name a few. I started to ask myself well it really does not do the job to say "Stay at home mom" or "Housewife". I am a full time mom, wife, friend, helper, snack maker, sports coordinator, necklace maker, professional chef (Mexican and Italian specialty), housekeeper, car washer, dry cleaner, laundry washer, grocery shopper, and personal masseuse. Oh but i gave her a break and just said spending time with my family and "LOVING IT!!" I have seen many of your blogs and find it soooo interesting and inspiring to hear your day to day events. We have to be the coolest bunch of MOMs out there. Well, i better go i still have a load of laundry to fold, check on dinner in the oven, help Ales with homework, and get them ready for bed before 8:15pm Well Ladies, i hope you have a good one and thanks for sharing your awesome stories.
Love,

The weeks go by soooo fast...
Hello everyone! I hope all is well. The weeks seem to be going by way too fast. I guess it will start to go by even faster once the holidays hit. :) We have been so busy with Ales's school bird house project, swimming lessons, soccer practice and games. Enzo is our little assistance through all of this hullabuloo. I still feel soo bad he wants to play on his bubba's soccer team. Well, soon enough. I am thinking about putting him in a Soccer tot or tumbling kids gymnastics program. He is just dying to get out there and do it on his own.
Our lives are filled with so much stuff that it is nice to blog my cares about my family and friends. Sort of like a meditation.
Our two sons are our greatest accomplishments. They inspire us to do so much in life. Of course there are days that they get in my hair and yell no at me, but overall they are my little men.
Currently i am teaching Ales about trust. The word trust is so abstract, but it turns out to be beautiful in the way the children learn about their meaning. So, i asked Ales, "What is trust?" He says, "when you are telling the truth." I said correct and then stated the question in another direction, "Who do you trust?" He said, " I trust Mom, Dad, Enzo, Grandma, and God." Trust is a life value that must be inherently learned. It is interesting how children interpret the abstract.
Okay enough lecture...
I forgot to post my experience with the substitute gig at Warren High School San Antonio, TX.
It was fun and i learned alot; like do not wear semi brand new high heels to school. My tootsies are still recovering. This school has to be the size of the Alamo dome. There are three levels in four different buildings. These buildings do not include the gym, bandhall, or ROTC building. I had about seven different classes with no less than 23 kids in each class. It was frightening at first, but i soon got the hang of it. Nonetheless, I had a very enriching experience and plan to attend again next Friday.
Well, i hope everyone is doing great these first couple of weeks of the school year. I can not wait for holiday pics. Halloween is on the way. I am a big Halloween freak soo please blog your pics on your websites. Ales might be a spartan warrior because he loves the movie 300. Enzo wants to be a pirate. So we have ideas in the mix. What are your ideas for Halloween?

Happy Birthday Grandma! :)

Ales and Grandma 01/2005
Enzo with Grandma 11/2005
Actually it's tomorrow 9/10, but i wanted to announce it today with a special message. "Grandma you are my inspiration, guide, mentor, and parent. You mean so much to me. We all miss you soooo much." My grandmother passed away on January 15, 2006. She was a Type A diabetic. She had suffered a long time with it. I know now that she is resting and we will see her later on.
My grandmother was the type of women who worked hard for what she ventured for in life. She graduated from Our Lady of the Lake University with her Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work, and later on her Masters of Science degree in Psychology. She worked 25 long years with the Center for Health Care Services in San Antonio, Tx. Her specialty was working with mentally and physically handicap children. She assisted families in need for specialty services for their children. She also served as a counselor for them as well. Through her i learned about different aspects and hardships of life.
She got me involved, at a very young age of 13, to help out as a camp assistant at CAMP CAMP. I assisted at this camp every summer for a total of 4 weeks during the summer. This camp is coordinated to help mentally and physically handicap children experience the outdoors and camp life. Plus, it has all the accomodations available to these special needs children. I had such a great time and experience with the campers and faculty. I did not realize it then, but i realized later that she gave me a life lesson. Isn't that what life is all about learning about it through experiences and memories? It makes me sad to know that she is not here anymore, but i will always keep her with me in my thoughts, heart, and soul. It makes me kind of sad to write this, but i know she would not want me to mope. So i won't . ;)
My grandmother was a one of a kind and loved her job. There are many people in the San Antonio community that remember her and were so sad to see her go. She will be remembered always. So please join me and post a happy birthday message for her. Thank you.
Love,
