Now that the kids are off at school---i have more time to myself...sometimes. :) As most of ya'll know i was employed by NISD in San Antonio, TX as a substitute. I will only be doing this part time. I have recieved my first call to duty which will take place next Friday at Warren High School. I am of course a little nervous, but this is what my degree and certification has trained me for. I have had experience observing many different grade levels, but not actually teaching or managing them by myself. I have such a wonderful support system: My husband, Enzo, and Ales. They really cheer me on. I have decided that when Enzo is about Kindergarten age--i would like to become a full time teacher. I would really like to work at NEISD. They pay more and Ales's school is in that district. This is where i was headed before i had Enzo. Then i decided to just stay home for awhile and i don't regret it. :)
Well, back to my little ones. I was soooo use to them with me all the time. We would pack a lunch and head to Sea World, the zoo, the Witte museum, go to a movie (rainy days), head to the library, and just hang out around the house. I miss my little guys around, but i get to enjoy seeing their faces when i pick them up for school. Ales is back to soccer practice with his team the "Blue Ninjas". He has been playing on this team for 2 1/2 years (thats 4 1/2 seasons: Fall/Spring). I have tried to introduce other sports, but he does not seem to like other sports. Any suggestions? Enzo is daddy's little soccer helper---He loves, loves to play soccer. But, unfortunatley he is not old enough to enroll for CYO,YMCA, or ACSYO. So, we make do and let him practice with Ales's soccer team.
School, homework, and activieties are in full bloom....TGIF!!! I hope everbody is doing great and off to a good start this year.

My sis in law works for NISD as well. Hope your 1st assignment went well!
I can't believe you are going to be teaching high school! They are totally going to confuse you for a student, lol! I can't wait to hear how it goes... don't put up with any crap from those kids (hopefully you won't get any like we used to be!) I hope the boys have a great time playing soccer this season!
